The rice powder is used as both a filler and a flow agent. Because Vitex is a fruit, it contains sugar, and is naturally sticky. Therefore, in order to make it flow into the capsules, a filler / flow agent needs to be added. We use rice powder because it's amongst the most natural options available.

The rice powder is used as a flow agent so that the powder can flow into this capsule. A flow agent is necessary because Vitex is somewhat sticky and does not flow without an additive.
