Raw Food Art: Four Seasons of Plant-Powered Goodness

There are so many wonderful things about this book. Your first impression will be the photography and the incredible food arrangements. Each page brings you a mouthwatering work of art. This would be a worthwhile buy just for the imagery. But then you look closer and see the actual recipes, and realize you are in the hands of somebody who really knows what they're doing with food. Most importantly, you can see for yourself how possible it can be to prepare food for yourself that's both eye-popping and so outrageously healthy for you. It's so inspiring. Get it as a recipe book. Get it as a photography book. Get it as an art book. Whatever you want out of it, I can't recommend it enough. If you're anything like me, you will return to it again and again.

Picking up fruits and vegetables, smelling them and noticing the colors, made us exited to get home and to make our smoothies! What joy we experienced when the rainbow from the beautiful picture appeared on our very own table! Our family have realized that we did not have to turn our lives upside down to obtain and prepare healthy, delicious and beautiful food. The beauty of every picture in this book brings each recipe to life! Don't worry, the recipes taste just as amazing without the beautiful decor (like when I make them!) I am not a vegan, but I love to integrate plant based healthy foods and "desserts" into my family's diet.The lasagna and zucchini noodles are always a hit in my house. Our favorite is the strawberry sauce and pesto!We LOVE the oatmeal cookies, strawberry cheesecake, truffles, crepes and chocolates. My almost 2 year old is allowed to have these cookies for breakfast! I love satisfying my (and his) sweet tooth with healthy alternatives. Highly recommend this cookbook for anyone trying to eat/ cook healthier. Recipes can accommodate the advanced and introduce the novice as well. You won't be upset!!!

I received this book about 3 weeks ago. It is a joy for the eyes! I could not get over the mesmerizing photography, with vibrant colors. The food photographed looked so good, you'd want to eat the pages! Well, with food looking that good, you have to try the recipes. So far, I've tried a smoothie and made some fruit sorbets. Delicious! When I have more time, I'd love to try more recipes in this beautiful book. One suggestion for the next edition: it would be helpful to add a section listing where one would find the various tools used preparing raw foods, i.e. , dehydrator and coco jack (websites).and the best places to shop for raw foods, seasonings and the like.These tips would guide raw food novices (like me) to get those ingredients to insure that the dishes prepared are as good as described, maybe an appendix or separate chapter? Otherwise, I look forward to preparing more dishes. I'm not a vegan or a vegetarian, but once in a while, I'd like to eat cleaner and greener. This book will help a lot.

I have the pleasure of knowing Aleksandra and Bill Winter for a long time now. Its been my privilege to share Yoga with Aleksandra for many years. You will get a glimpse of her deep spiritual awareness as she is an intuitive and blessed food artist superb. She creates her recipes as she channels foods, colors, nutrition seeking the best experience for all. I am sharing this to validate that she is a sincere artist and this book she birthed from her deepest core and nature. Aleksandra and Bill are a perfect matched couple who compliment each other in a variety of ways including artists talent and this book is a tribute to their artistic union. I also want to share that I have eaten many a glorious meal made by Aleksandra and it is a rare and unique experience in her personal sanctuary where she creates awesome and most delicious meals that satisfy every taste bud, calm one's soul, give the eye aesthetic pleasure to see how beautiful each entree appears. Sometimes a cookbook can look appealing but the recipes do not come out tasty or are too challenging, this is not the case here. Aleksandra has share freely with friends, family and foodies nationally (via Vegan festivals and other events) so her recipes have been tested and come up deliciously true each time. This is a great gift for oneself seeking to diversify their palate, to bring healing and well being, for a gift for friends and families. Can't wait for her next contribution!
