This is seriously a must buy for any fish keeping enthusiasts. Whether you are starting a new tank or simply just doing a water change unless you’ve got fancy water you absolutely need this. And for the price it last a very long time. I use this bottle on both my 20 and 40 gallon tanks and it’s lasted me about 8 months so far with a quarter of the bottle left. Doesn’t muddy up water or anything and they are easy to store especially with a lot of stands having built in shelves. Doesn’t seem to throw parameters off.

You also get 5 times the amount of other water conditioners. Because it’s so concentrated you only need 1 ml as opposed to 5 ml of many other conditioners. This means it will last much longer.

I have a ten gallon fish tank and this product will be used for a while. I have had good success keeping the fish alive while using this product. The water (tap water) is also very clear after use.

I wasn't testing the ammonia content of my 3 aquariums...I mean, the water in all three is crystal clean with over-filtering, so what's the need? I was oh so wrong! I decided to check it on all three of my aquariums because a fish died in one of them. The ammonia levels in one were zero PPM. The other two had ammonia levels that were literally off the charts; greater than 8 PPM. I immediately did an 80% water change on both, but the ammonia levels were still off the charts! I then used Aqua Essential in both tanks for 5 days. One of them has zero PPM ammonia, the other is at 1 PPM. This product really works to remove ammonia from an aquarium, and it works really quickly. I will check the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels once a week going forward.
