Helpful
Melamine dishes are my favorite. They are dishwasher safe and child friendly. I adore these particular plates for the portion size. This keeps me from over eating carbs! I will refill the vegetable portion only. This is helpful to watch my diet.

NOT microwave safe. But useful.
My youngest daughter is borderline pre-diabetic and she has trouble gauging how much she should eat. This visual makes plating her meals easy and reminds her if she missed a category. She's doing very well with this! The knock of a star is due to it coming out of the box as a plastic plate that has the printed plastic film kind of bubbly and chippy on the surface. This is ONLY dishwasher safe (according to the bottom). It is NOT microwave safe. So my daughter just cooks her food and uses this for portioning. She washes it by hand too, just to be safe. If it can't do a microwave, I don't know how it could possibly survive a dishwasher with high heat settings.
