Hello JEL,Here is the list of ingredients as shown on the packaging.Hikari Gold Pond Food 17.6 oz.; Floating; Medium Pellets Fish meal, fladed corn, wheat flour, gluten meal, brewers dried yeast, starch, enzyme, garlic, astaxanthin, DL-methionine, monosodium glutamate, vitamin A oil, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, menadione sodium bisulfate complex (source of vitamin K), choline chloride, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (stabilized vitamin C), inositol, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, thiamine mononitrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, niacin, folic acid, biotin, ferrous sulfate, maganese sufate, zinc sufate, manganese sulfate, cobalt sulfate, calcium iodate, aluminum hydroxide, sodium acid pyrophosphate.

Q: Why doesn't this page show the ingredients of the food?

You can do a quick web search to get exact ingredients. I have been feeding this every summer for over 10 years. Intensifies koi colors and use only when temps are between 60 to 70 degrees. This is a specialty item. I mix it 50-50 with the Hakari Staple but again only when temps are 60-70 degrees.

Not for me. My pond is 18,000 gallons. I also vary the type of food for my fish just as we don't eat the same thing every day either. Partial (20%) water changes are also a good idea to maintain good water quality. There is such a thing as red algae that might color the water. Good water quality will clear that up also.

Q: What size is the pellet? Will 3-4" koi be able to eat it?

If you can find it I think that they would be better off with the small pellets. These seem to be around 1/4 to 3/8” They probably can get it in their mouths but may have trouble crushing them.
