Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased the newer model on Prime Day and received it within hours for $65. Having a valid reason to upgrade my doorbell camera, this model has completely changed the game! I am glad to have decided to upgrade my older model to protect my residence, and I encourage others who live in a condominium or apartment to do the same. The older model fails to record people walking up the stairs, whereas the newer model captures the top of a person's head before they turn to walk up the stairs. The video range is perfection at its finest! I can record the surrounding area to confirm if it's safe to answer or open my door. THANK YOU, Ring, for making me feel safer than ever before!

The Ring Doorbell and its camera products have been an item that I have been raving about way before it got its notoriety from the masses to-date. It has been a product that I felt from the very beginning a game changer for home security and that need for assistance with protection in mind of the bare need to have visibility of one’s home and or property equally. With making it so at the most reasonable cost to the consumer. Which has been ever so put forth before us all. This is an attractive and very functional doorbell. It's also a very good security addition to any home. We paid for a year of recording service so that if anyone walks up to our door they get their picture taken and their actions are recorded on Amazon's cloud service that you can access through their Ring application on your smart phone. It's very clever and keeps people honest, or else it provides video for law enforcement if they aren't. I had to buy a wedge kit for $20 to correct the slant of my siding. Looks professionally installed now. I wired it to the existing mechanical door bell wiring.

Really happy with this new Ring Battery Doorbell (2024 version)! The head-to-toe video is a big plus, I can see everything from a visitor’s face to packages on the ground. It makes me feel a lot more secure.Setup was a breeze, I didn’t need any tools or wiring. The battery charged quickly, and I had it up and running in about 20 minutes. The satin nickel finish looks really nice and gives my door a sleek, modern touch.The video quality is sharp, even at night, and the two-way talk feature works great and is super clear sound both ways. I like that I can adjust the motion settings to avoid alerts from cars driving by, which helps cut down on unnecessary notifications.Overall, this doorbell is a great upgrade. If you want something easy to install with great features and solid performance, this one’s definitely worth it!

After I learned how to use everything I was actually pretty amazed. Sound quality and the video quality is very good. Was even more amazing is that mine is the battery operating unit and it's held a charge for now 20 days and it still looks like it's good for another 10 at least so at least I don't have to charge it but once a month. The only thing I don't like about this unit is that I didn't realize I was going to have to purchase a monthly subscription to keep the unit functionable. It's not a terrible amount of money but still you know. I probably still would have gotten it anyways because I was having packages stolen off my doorstep and that has since stopped so I suppose that piece of mind is worth the six or $7 a month I will have to start paying next month.
