This switch feels firm and like it will last. I had ordered the UHPPOTE square white box and it did NOT work with surface mounting this switch. So I bought a standard shallow box, broke apart a decora switch (keeping the metal frame) so that the decora plate had something to screw into. I screwed the exit switch to the plate using the 4 screw holes. It is removeable if needed and looks O.K. I am very disappointed in the UHPPOTE square box--it is not designed for this switch and the screw hole in it stripped immediately using a gentle screwdriver by hand.Buy this switch. Don't buy their box.
