I used this soap growing up - 60 years ago. The only store that carried it near me closed several years ago. I was pleased to find that it was still available online. Using it, takes me back.

If you love Pine Tar soap this is your product! I like it because of the fact it is somewhat granulated as well as the aroma is just what I was looking for. I hope Amazon carries Packers for a long time to come!

The soap itself actually feels really nice and exfoliating and leaves your skin feeling clean but not dried out. The scent, though, is something else! I was expecting possibly strong pine smell, but this was nothing like I expected. The smell is definitely strong, but it smells more like ash, almost like a burning lit cigar, and it comes through even outside the bag. The smell doesn't stick around long after using it though but be aware if you are sensitive to fragrances and especially if you're not sure what pine tar smells like.

I miss the old days pine tar soap by this company from the 1880s vs the today's mix the old actually made your skin really soft . Yes I had about 1100 stored for more then 120 years in the Tin cans... the new with the scrubbing stuff I get it but it's not the same not the same formula. Not many people in 2025 could compare the difference but I can . Packers is a house hold name I wish yall would go the extra mile to put them back out in tins but I get it. It's just not the same

I'm an avid user of the original Packer's Pine soap. I love its pine tar scent and the soft lather the soap produces. When I've noticed the new scrub soap for sale, decided to give it a try — I'm glad I did!I was worried that the addition of ground coffee & cinnamon would change the soap too much, but I can confirm it didn't. The new scrub soap has the same amazing smell, and produces the same rich, soft lather. The only difference is in the texture. Unlike the original soap that glides in your hands, the scrub soap has a fine, grainy feel to it - I'd compare it to handling a coarse fabric. You can feel the scrub, which I'm sure will help dealing with dry skin in the winter.While I still prefer the feel of the original, this is a very good option for those who want a bit more scrubbing power in their soap.

Holy crap, this smells like burnt cigarettes and cigars. I was used to Dr. Squatch Pine Tar which smells great, but this smells like the county construction crew came into my bathroom to pave the floors with asphalt. It feels great, but I can't help but feel like I'm in a smellavision advertisment for COPD and Emphysema.

I like it. It is definitely heavy on the smoke. Makes my house smell like a forest fire. I place the bar in a ziploc bag and now just the bathroom smells like it burned down. The exfoliate is quite surprising and feels like you're washing with lava soap or something from a mechanic shop. I do like it, it just needs a little tweaking. More pine, less smoke maybe
